ABOUT

Before surfing on my personal blog, please kindly let me introduce myself. I have a quite long long name for an Indonesian. My parents (and my grand mother who had a big part of contribution on it) gave me a name Yescha Nuradisa Ekarachmi Danandjojo, but you can just simply call me Yescha if you want to mention my name in your comment or if we meet accidentally somewhere. I am a woman (it is so clear by looking at my profile picture anyway 😉), an Indonesian, and am 28 years old by 2017.

I recently had a 16 personalities test (you can have your own by visiting this site https://www.16personalities.com/) and it showed that I have the ISFJ-T or DEFENDER personality type, which can be simply elaborated as a person who is dominantly introverted, a kind of observant person, and mostly make decisions by feeling. And it is 90% true! That's me! I am a kind of person who will observe my new 'environment' first, try to learn about the people, and will consider many things before deciding whether it would be comfortable for me or not to get involve deeply at my new place and being the real 'me'.

Academically, I earned my bachelor degree by completing some lectures on Regional and City Planning at the Institute of Technology Bandung in 2012. Three years later in 2015 I started to be a graduate student at the Institute for Housing  and Urban Development Studies (IHS), Erasmus University Rotterdam, and got my master degree as M.Sc on Urban Management and Development in 2016. I am a kind of 'dream-big' person, and it applies on my academic achievement target as well. I plan to pursue a Ph.D degree to complete my academic achievement. Yet, I have start nothing on the way to get it, but I will do it in the near future, soon, very soon. Starting to write on my personal blog is one of the ways in preparing myself to pursue a Ph.D degree, I think. Even though it is just a light writing, but still, I am trying to sharpen my critical thinking by writing and sharing my thought on my blog (and I know it is just 000,02% of what you need to prepare for pursuing a Ph.D).

Professionally, I am now working as an urban transport and regional economic analyst. My work is for sure related to my academic background. I work in the field of spatial and urban planning, urban management, urban transport planning, and specifically on the transport policy planning development. I surely am not intend to write about the substance of my work here, on my blog. Except, there are some of information of my work that worth to share as well as not having too many technical language so that it is interesting enough to be read.

I've loved to write since junior high. I was trying to write some short stories yet unpublished and was only read by some of my close friends. Unfortunately, I was like 'forget to write' in high school, ooh.. not really forget it, I was still writing my personal daily journal on my diary. In 2011, I tried to run a blog, nonetheless because of my inconsistency' then I (once more) had forgotten to write.

And now, in 2017, I will try (once again) to write on blog and intend to share my thoughts; and many other things in mind. I've loved to travel, randomly or by planning. It would be great if I able to share my travel experiences as well. Because for me, travelling is not only about visiting some new places and taking some 'instagram-able' pictures, but is also about learning some new things, observing the new places that not my own 'comfort zone'; eating many delicious foods, and the most important thing for me is enjoying my me-time.

So, please enjoy my personal blog which will show you my thoughts in many ways.

Cheers,
Yescha Danandjojo
